The Mozilla guy decided all along to include Private Mode to their upcoming browser Firefox 3.1. Firefox 3.1 is currently in Beta 1.
Mozilla was seems pressured by the the new features of its competitor namely Google’s Chrome with its Incognito mode and Microsoft’s InPrivate mode. Later after discussion, they eventually let the new feature included in their upcoming 2nd beta of Firefox 3.1 that will be ready for download later this month.
Private Mode is a feature which lets you surf the web the same way as an ordinary browser do minus recording or caching the pages and URL’s saving on your PC. It’s a safe way to hide your activity from your family or friends who use your PC.
Google’s incognito mode became useful to me too whenever I surf the net through computer shop so as to not let the browser cache the sites I visited.
